Vine Church Poole, took over the running of the Infectious building in Turlin Moor in 2018. On the moor we have seen 'Infectious' slowly morph into 'The hub'. This was accompanied by a number of activities as Vine Church settled into their new base.
The venue hosted some very successful events last year including, an easter egg hunt, run by Ann Khambatta and she has also used the venue for a healthy living course. The Hub had a grand opening at the beginning of September.
In the Autumn 'Light the Night' was an alternative to Halloween that was very well attended by youngsters and their mums and dads.
The end of the year was marked by a very tasteful winter scene as imagined by a graff artist all the way from Bristol – see photo. We had hosted a carol service in 2017 but you don't always want to repeat yourself so a bunch of people went carol singing just before Christmas 2018. We were knocked out by the number of people who came out of their houses on a cold night to listen, chat and even be prayed for. Just the sort of community action that all can share in.
Some pictures of last years events below.
There are regular weekly activities at The Hub including 'Tea & Toast'. This runs in term time only as a place for parents to relax after dropping their kids off at school. Open from 8.30am til 10.00 on a Monday and from 8:00 til 10:00 on Tuesday and Thursday mornings.
New for this year, 'Coffee and chat' will be opening its doors on the 1st and 3rd Saturday of each month from 2.00pm-4.00pm, starting on the 2nd February.
