Luke Chapter 1

In todays session we learn who Luke was and what his purpose of writing this book. We explore some characters whom are around in the early days of Jesus.

 

Luke Chapter 2

Luke 2 begins with the narrative of Jesus birth and then he describes the early life of Jesus and how Jesus followed the custom of Jewish traditions.

 
 
 
 
 
 

Luke Chapter 3

In chapter three Luke is making reference to both the political and religious setting. Luke describes the purpose and message of John the baptist and why did Jesus need to be baptised?

 
 

Luke Chapter 4

Dave Gawler dives straight into Luke chapter 4 and how Jesus was tempted in the wilderness.

 
 

Luke 5

Alison carries on our journey through the gospel of Luke with chapter five. She tells of two stories of healing which saw two different types of faith. She encourages to be fishermen (not literally) but disciples of Jesus.

 

Luke 6

Becci carries on our series with Luke 6. Have you ever wondered Jesus’ thoughts on the sabbath? and why He healed on the sabbath? She also encourages to spend time with God and that is the most important thing in our lives.

 
 

Luke 7

In chapter 7 Luke tells us of two miraculous healings. Then 2 men sent by John the baptist as Jesus if he is the one they have been waiting and Jesus’ response is remarkable and not what one would expect.



 
 

Luke 8

As we carry on through the gospel of Luke Abbie speaks to us from Luke chapter 8. She speaks us about the gospel inclusive, hearer and doers of the Word and Jesus has all authority.
